OpinionFirst - Navigation

You have the following main options to choose from:

Start

'All' gives you a real-time chronological overview of all topics, proposals, ideas, petitions, voting results, 360º's, polls, statements and other information. 

People

With 'People' you follow opinion leaders, ambassadors, candidates and delegates. You read about their 360º's and vote on proposals they submitted or recommend.

Places

With 'Places' you follow what is happening around places. A place can be a neighborhood, hometown, province, state, country, region, continent, the world or any other type of location. OpinionFirst automatically creates your relevant places during the registration process. These places are displayed under 'Places' near the upper-left corner. 

Groups

With 'Groups' you follow what is happening around groups. A group can be a company, association, institute, club, school or any other type of group. You create your preferred groups by becoming a member of a group. The groups that you joined are displayed under the 'Groups' in the upper left corner.

Start

Start keeps you updated on everything what is going on. With a click on the list icon, you see the number of new posts since your last visit indicated in red between brackets. You can narrow down the overview to match your interests using:

Titles

Titles give an overview of a selection of issues depending on your registration or depending on the place you selected as a visitor. OF Live offers you:

All

Gives an overview of all issues that are happening worldwide.

Support

Gives an overview on your own country and on country-level in other countries. The overview is similar to a newspaper, but on OpinionFirst you can give your support on any issue that has your interest.

Vote

Gives an overview on your own neighborhood, place, province, country, region and world as well as on groups of which you are a member. The overview is about what concerns you and on what you can vote directly if you are registered.

Follow

Gives an overview on places, groups, topics and persons that you follow. The overview is about what you consider most important to follow.

Trending

Gives an overview of trending topics in your own neighborhood, place, province, country, region and world as well as trending topics of groups of which you are a member. The overview gives the most important issues at this moment on which you can give your vision or vote.

Find

With 'Find' you can search for keywords in the overview.

Filter

With 'Filter' you can narrow down the overview to topics, proposals, 360°s, polls and statements.

Places and groups

After your registration or log in, your preferred places and groups will become available in the upper-left corner of the OpinionFirst website or at the bottom of your mobile device. Your current place or group is indicated in bold.

Search for your hometown

If you are not registered or logged in yet, then by clicking on the text 'Search for your hometown' you can immediately search for your hometown or neighborhood.

Change place or group

If you are registered then by clicking on the text 'Change place...' or 'Change group...' at the right of your preferred places or groups you can immediately search for another place or group.

General search

Search for a place, group or anything else by using the search box at the top-right of your screen. The search will provide you with an overview of everything that can be found on the OpinionFirst website. By selecting the filter 'Places' or 'Groups' at the top-right of the search overview you can view only places or groups.

Start-up

When visiting OpinionFirst for the very first time, you will see the major topics in your country. At the upper left corner of the OpinionFirst website you see 'Life', 'Places' and 'Groups'. Just underneath, indicated in bold is the place or group in which you are situated.

If you are not yet registered or logged in, then OpinionFirst might not immediately display the places or groups you would like to see. Either register or use 'Search for your hometown' or 'Change places...' to insert the name of your home town. You will then see the topics in your home town. By selecting other places or groups you will see topics in other places or groups.

Register

At startup you are immediately able to register yourself. Click on 'Register' in the upper-right of your screen and insert your name, date of birth, gender, place and email address. Click on 'Register' and you are a registered voter. You can vote on proposals and review your votes later. OpinionFirst automatically creates a personal button for you at the upper-right corner of your screen. 

If you haven't done so yet then it is important to register yourself, since this will immediately increase the influence and importance of your votes.

Search

You can always return to your home page by clicking on the OpinionFirst logo in the upper-left corner of your screen. 

Extensive search

You will find a search field in the upper-right corner where you can easily search the entire OpinionFirst website. Your search results will provide you with an overview of items that match your search criteria and the option to further refine your search.

Find...

With the 'Find' search box you are able to quickly search in the relevant overview.

Change...

By clicking on 'Change place...' or 'Change group...' at the right of the your preferred places or groups, you can immediately search for another place or group. 

Categories

On the left Sidebar you find the categories that help you to quickly find topics that interest you. By clicking on a category, you will see the topics in this category.

Personal button

After you register, OpinionFirst automatically creates a button with your name in the right-upper corner. This is your personal button with which you can find all the information about your registration. When you click on the personal button and select 'My profile' you will see several tab pages. We encourage you to take a small moment to verify and complete your profile. You can also log out.
